This blogging entrepreneurial project was a great learning experience. First off, it helped me learn and understand the world of blogging and how useful it can be. I also learned a lot about how to relate my own ideas to the technology and advancements in technology that we learned about in class. The experience of learning all of these tools will help me be more successful and has made me aware of the technological advances we have going into the future.
When starting this blog I knew that a lot of effort, time, and organization has to go into starting your own business or marketing your ideas, but coming out of it I feel like I have gained a lot of knowledge about doing it myself. I learned about a lot of technological tools that would help me be successful in my own business. I think that blogging about things that I have learned helped me see how I really could use them in the future. I also feel like reading comments from others can help refine ones idea so that it can flourish in the long run.
Another part of this project was I got to comment on other students entrepreneurial ideas. The three URLs I commented on were: http://matttallmanist195.blogspot.com/ (Matt Tallman), http://ist195entrepreneurship.blogspot.com/ (Fiona Andrews), and http://helenology.blogspot.com/ (Helen Peng). All three of them I felt had excellent potential to be very successful ideas. I think this project really helped us stretch our knowledge of the world today, to find things that we think would advance it even further. All of their ideas did just that. Matt talked about having a website that would portray all the critical information on one site. I think this would be very benificial for elderly people or just people that hate searching all over the internet for a few things. Fiona talked about having a store that rents dresses. I feel like that would be an awesome idea especially if you look at how much woman spend on dresses sometimes to even just wear once. Lastly, Helen talked about advancements to online shopping. She proposed a way you would be able to make a model, matched to your bodysize, and have it put the clothes on so you could see how it looked before buying it. I felt like all three of these ideas were good ones and if they were real, I myself would use them.
Overall, I think this project was a very benificial one. I think it helped me broaden my horizon to the ways of getting ideas out there for publicity purposes or even to just get some feedback with blogging. I enjoyed learning how to start a blog and I will apply this to my everyday life and future.

Review Post
During this entire project I have been posting blogs on the importance of going green in the automobile industry. Ultimately, we don't have many options left as we being to go into an age where we most likely will see peak oil production. We need to have a solution to bring us away from using fossil fuels. In a blog post found at http://green.autoblog.com/ the author Eric Loveday posted some amazing new technological developments in the school bus that will help us to move toward "going green".
Trans Tech Bus has recently come out with a electric powered school bus. The bus is equip with a 161 horsepower electric motor that is powered by a pair of 278-volt lithium-ion battery packs. The only part of the bus that runs on fossil fuels is the heating and air conditioning units. The company designing these buses say "that depending on conditions, the school bus drivers should be able to drive 100-130 miles on one charge. The buses maximum speeds would be restricted to about 50 degrees however." Dan Daniels, the president of Trans Tech stated that the school buses could be charged at night when electricity was at its lowest cost because it would most likely be used throughout the day which would save schools a lot of money. These bus designs will go on sale he said in 2012 and he said "we will price them competitively."
This design for a more environmentally friendly way to transport kids to school every day is a great way to save some money, and help sustain the environment. Even though the cost of the bus overall hasn't been revealed if they are successful, it would most likely pay for itself over a short period of time. If schools we able to spend less money at the pump to fuel their vehicles by looking at ways such as electricity to fuel them, they could save a lot of money. These electric buses are a great idea for schools to look into. I know schools here in 2011 are already cutting jobs, sports, and even some classes to meet budget requests, but if they were able to meet those request by just cutting back on the amount of gas they use, I think that this will help students gain all they can out of their schools.

Week 7-Digital Color
I found this link that is really interesting. http://youtu.be/JH506H8VclQ This is a link to a youtube video about a car invented in Japan that runs solely on water! This is an awesome invention in my opinion. Some how they have figured out how to run a car on a water tank. Also you would be able to put any type of water in it to run the car. I think this could seriously eliminate the amount of waste water we produce especially if we can use it as energy to power our vehicles. I thought this was a cool idea that fits with my entrepreneurial idea.
There are some pros and cons of using water as an energy source for our vehicles. Some pros are its a renewable resource. If you look at it, water is all around us. We have lots of seas, oceans, lakes, and different bodies of water all around the world. Some people may question the availability of water because some states like Texas have limited drinkable water but if you think about using waste water as a source that may open your eyes to a brand new light. If we were able to convert unusable waste water into usable energy doesn't that sound like a good idea? I definitely wouldn't want to know that I was drinking water that was recycled from waste, would you? So I feel like it would be best to take that water and use it for something else that is useable. Or what if we could utilize salt water. Some cons of this would be that you don't know what affect the added water vapor in the air would have on the environment. But at the same time we need to start somewhere because oviously burning fossil fuels has left a large impact on the environment itself. So in my opinion atleast we are making a step in a new direction.
Well this week one thing we talked about was digital color. For the most part this would be very important to people going into interior design or something along those lines, but I have found a way that it will help enhance the sales of my idea. Being able to know and understand how the digital color world works would help me be better equip to make a intreging and stylish website to sell my products. Knowing the ways to make colors more exuberant and eye catching might make my product appeal to the public visually along with financially and economically.

Week 6- Bits & Bites
This week in class we had an exam. This exam was a way to test us on the information we learned in class and how much we remembered of it. In creating a new idea or invention, it would be very important to test it and ensure that it works properly. With my car converter I would definetly want to test it out before making it available to the public. It would be practical to test it first so that if there were any glitches or complications they could be fixed and changed.
Another topic we discussed this week was on bits and bites. Bits and bites are the amount of storage available on a computer. The size available differs from computer to computer. One way I would be able to use these in my invention would be by keeping a record of the different manufacturing vehicles, so we know if we have a converter for that brand. We would be carrying many different brands and vehicles so it would be important for us to have a lot of memory to store them.
This week we learned many great points that will help our entrepreneurial idea be a success. Testing it before selling it would be a good way to know how it works and see what parts need to be improved before it is connected to consumer's vehicles. Another point that would help make it a success is keeping track of how much inventory we have. Learning about the differences in bits and bites and the memory storage they supply, is an important piece of information to possess. Knowing all of this will help my idea flourish in productivity.

Week 5- Input & Output
A car converting unit would not be easy to create. In preparing the design I would have to decide if it would be affiliated with a specific brand of car or generic for all cars. One way that this unit could be sold is through the individual car companies. However, this would limit the types of cars that would be able to use the converter to that specific car company such as Ford or BMW. If I were to sell these units individually from a manufactural company not involved in the making of specific cars, I would be able to make converters for all different types of cars including: Chevy, Ford, Lexus, BMW, etc.
This week in class we taked about the uses of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). RFID is simply a system which transmits the identity of an object or person wirelessly using radio frequency. This would be very convenient to include in my invention. In each converter a RFID chip could be added to be tracked. This would allow us to keep track of the vehicles with an installed converter. This would benifit our manufacturing because if the car had any issues we could track it and fix the problem quickly and efficiently. Also it would allow us to have an idea of how far people are traveling with it and keep track of any modifications that may need to be added to increase the convenience of it.
Another topic we talked about this week was QR codes. QR codes are also know as quick response codes. You can make a QR code for anything. We learned in class that you can go online and type in a website, product, or number that you want to come up when the code is scanned. This would be helpful in getting my car converting product out into the public. We could put it on shirts, signs, or even on small mailed advertisements. We would be able to connect our product with the code so when people scan it with their smart phones, it would bring them to a site all about the product.
